Photography and filmmaking have been a lifelong passion for me. The subject matter has changed with my interests, but I’ve always enjoyed trying to capture and share something about how I see the world. I find it continuously challenging and interesting to try to distill the feeling of a place or scene into a photo. I think the essence of the photographic process is a dialogue with our unconscious responses to our surroundings - what is it that strikes me about this tree? Why are my eyes drawn to the light on that part of the building, and how can I express it through the camera, which sees so differently from me?
